Meet Anda, Founder & Managing Director
Anda Mpofu is a visionary leader and business strategist with over 17 years of diverse financial and entrepreneurial experience, including 10 years in global markets such as the United States and Mauritius. His career spans investment banking, private equity, asset management, corporate strategy, and entrepreneurial development. Before founding Charter M Advisory, Anda co-founded Lapis Fund Managers, an FSCA-licensed asset management firm focused on global equities, where he introduced innovative thematic listed equity portfolios to the South African institutional investment market in partnership with a Swiss-based asset manager.
Anda held leadership roles at Harith General Partners, managing over $1 billion in Pan-African infrastructure funds, and worked in New York’s alternative investment sector with Central Park Park Group and Ernst & Young, managing private equity and Hedge Funds’ operations (8 Funds totaling more than $1.5 billion). At Total Energies South Africa Anda developed and implemented a national transformation strategy for the retail fuel sector, successfully onboarding 40 new Black entrepreneurs and establishing strategic funding partnerships with institutions like Nedbank, NEF, SEDFA, and ECDC. He holds an MBA in Investment Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Iona University (New York), and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Finance from the UCT Graduate School of Business.

His leadership on various boards and committees, including at Harith General Partners and Khobodi Investments, reflects his ability to drive inclusive growth with integrity.
